  1. Choose a base oil or ‘carrier oil’.  The oil which is best is Jojoba oil which is good for the skin.  Other alternatives are grape seed oil, amica oil, or the cheaper vegetable oil.




2. Next the scented oil.  Choose a scent which suits you or a scent which is attractive to everyone.  You will find concentrated scented oil on the internet, at a local supermarket, or the local health food shop.

3. Choose a bottle with tight sealed cap. An attractive, colourful, decorative bottle will add appearance your home fragrance oil.

4. Now pour the base oil into the bottle.

5. Carefully add a several drops of the scented oil to the base oil.  Gauge the strength of the scent by rubbing it on your skin.

6. Store the bottle in a dark place with the cap tightened and sealed.   The home fragrance oil will be ready to use after four to five days.
